Okay, so other random shit that's going on.

I was just in Canadia for a Kotei. I had a ton of fun. I wish some other Canadians were still playing L5R (Charlie, Alec, Jay, Dave, James etc) but the people there were good peeps.

Past that, I dunno. I'm working, my job is what it is.

L5R became the thing that fell by the wayside in the married life. I don't have the time to go play nor the disposable income I'm afraid. Damn expensive collectible games...

Yep, if I didn't have this CCG habit I'd probably have lost a lot of money in the stock market this past year, lol

So, your job isn't giving you the satisfaction you hoped it would? Are they treating you poorly?

Um, it's actually better now to be honest. But a lot of the same inherent flaws are there. I think I just stay for the people and the security right now. Tho I did mention to my boss whether it might be a good idea for me to look at moving to get a promotion.

Which is to say, I have fond memories of L5R and miss playing highly-competitive cards, but I'm just at the point where the "collectible" model bugs me and I'm still bitter with AEG about stuff.

We should all take up parcheesi or something.

Understandable, you're hardly the only one mad at them about various things.

That said, they've got an Irish brand manager (Justin Walsh) and a design team that's doing a bang-up job. You might take a look sometime! You know, in all that free time you were talking about the other day, lol
