Okay, this whole steroid thing has just gotten utterly ridiculous, now with the new A-Roid news. I'm only hoping that one important change will come of it - that the BBWAA will lose the right to vote on the Hall of Fame, because of what they've done to Mark McGwire these past few years

I have an issue with punishing people for doing something that was legal. And if anyone wants to argue about whether it was legal:

a> There was no punishment for getting caught.
b> There was no WAY to get caught.
c> It was tacitly accepted as the way to GET and STAY healthy! It improved rehab response times!

Go ahead and make it illegal (as they have done). Go ahead and throw the book at anyone you catch now. Just don't punish people for doing it back when it was accepted.
