This paper (PDF) about a Kootenay bed by one of the same authors is probably the same location? It doesn't use this name of "Marble Canyon" though.

Here's Stanley Peak, glacier on the north side, and here's the trail map if anyone wants to have a look around from the trail...

Hm. Despite the "exact location remaining confidential", Figure 1 on page 75 of that paper appears to be showing locations to within 100 meters or so.
