You know, there should be sleep banks. Then when I can't sleep, I can just withdraw some sleep from those times when I'm mysteriously sleeping fourteen hours a day.
… I suppose what would happen next is that wealthy people with poor sleep habits would outsource the whole circadian business. Entire villages in China or somewhere would be guzzling caffeine or barbiturates and supporting themselves on industrial-scale sleep farming.

Man, that would make my graveyard schedule so much easier.
All the tech companies would offer discounted sleep bank withdrawals as a standard benefit. Microsoft would subsidize it completely, and then expect 120 hours a week from everyone instead of 80.
