It's over a year since I returned to Australia and I can't decide whether I want to stay settled or pick up and do something different. I love my job, I really enjoy working with the people there and every day there is something different to tackle, but there really isn't any room to 'move up' in my field if I stay here. Dynamic yoga sounds fun - that's pretty much what Body Balance is (with a bit of Tai Chi and pilates thrown in for good measure) and I do so enjoy it. My current instructor has been working me hard!) Breakfast at the market sounds like the perfect way to cap it off. With such perfection in your established routines no wonder you're having trouble making a change.

I think you need a really good opportunity to break out of such a routine. Brilliant job opportunity, love of your life in some exotic location, winning the lotto or some such largesse from fate. It's not going to make much difference in the broader scheme of things if you stay one or two years longer but change for it's own sake - when the current goings on are pretty good - is not always the answer. Besides there are other avenues for change beyond the obvious career move..

All very true, but sometimes the rut sets in and I wonder whether any of those things are possible unless I make the change myself. By no means rushing off to something different right now but keeping my eyes open to possibilities :)

Well yes keeping your eyes open to possibilities. Definately. Good luck in the searching.

Oh absolutely. I don't know that I've articulated what's going on in my head very well. I'm mostly quite content but every now and then have these moments where I think 'Well what have I actually done with the last few years? I've come full circle and am back where I started in many ways.' That's not necessarily bad, I just get a bit restless every now and then :)
