Bad dreams as of late. I haven't been sleeping very well, and that combined with the weather is no good for a lady of my vintage. Still, there is a lot to be preparing for. I've gotten most of the Christmas preparations for my household done. Everyone I know is attending, aren't they? What would Christmas be without a prayer and a party

There's no point to this election, other than to make us feel more in control of our lives. But they rip that control away once a week or so- why bother?

I apologize for all the confusion yesterday, that must have been pretty disorienting for you, as well.

Nonsense, Gabriel. I've been in control of myself since I set foot here, in all of the ways that count.

It wasn't your fault. Your mind was somewhere else, acting on ghosts and memories. I'm alive and you haven't done anything wrong, that is all that matters. What we'll do tomorrow is more important than what we did yesterday, after all. That's how life works.

I know. I have to remember to look forward. This place keeps trying to make me regret, and I do, but there's no use in dwelling on it. I have to fix what's broken now.

I talked to Elle a couple days ago. She didn't listen to me.

This place is of no consequence. You only have one person in all of existence to impress or make up to, and that is yourself, Gabriel. That is the only expectation I have.

Elle is not your responsibility. She's been damaged by Bob, possibly beyond repair.
