Post the Third - Video

[Death the Kid appears on-screen. This is not in fact another post about the mysterious disappearance of the church, or any other odd happenings. This is a post about the little brown-and-white fox-like creature that Kid is currently holding. It's a newly-hatched Eevee, and the death god holding it looks rather awkward about the whole thing. If ( Read more... )

[Try and ignore the wildly unsymmetrical facial tattoo, Kid, Lea knows what he's talking about with this!]

Huh, I thought most people knew when they got one of those...

Uh, anyway! That's an Eevee! It's a type of Pokemon. Lyra was giving their eggs away after her Pokemon bred. I have one, too. Meet Arden.

[A relatively small Eevee is brought up to the screen, looking curious as it sniffs about. Lea? So proud.]

Maka found his egg in the refrigerator. [The villa is an odd place.]

I'm afraid I am not at all familiar with the species. Do you know anything more than the [... name] name? Do you know the proper spelling?

[Oh. Hello Arden. Fridge-fox is going to switch his attention from Kid's outfit to the new friend on the screen.]

[A fridge? Oh jeez, hopefully N didn't hear about that...]

Pretty much how it sounds like. E-E-V-E-E. Commit it to memory.

I know that they're a breed of pokemon that can change shape depending on if you let them interact with a certain type of stone or how much they trust and like their trainer... There are seven different 'evolutions'. Um... They're really into battling for fun- like, sparring fun, I think- where they're from. Oh, if yours just hatched, then you should feed it warm milk, but then go to small bits of fruit after!

["eeeeeee!" Hear that high pitched noised? That's Arden, patting at the screen with his paws and generally blocking the view and being a pain. FRIEND! New friend, best friend.]

I thought so! E-e-v-e-e! A beautiful palindrome!

[Said palindromic animal is now batting with a paw at the screen, with quiet little barks.]

Yes. It suits him.

You're picking it 'cause it's a palindrome, aren't you?

I would not have suggested any name that did not posesses appropriate balance, but Pip suits him very well.

[Don't mind her trying not to laugh, she's definitely not laughing.]

I think he likes you.

If these creatures show affection by biting, then I agree. [No, Kid, he's just hungry.]

I don't know if they do, a trainer told me that's how they attack. But he's probably hungry, too.

...Oh, and I like the idea of calling him Pip. But we'll have to wait and see what everyone else thinks before making it official, John might want to name him after some movie character.

That's an Eevee, it looks like an infant- you must be one of the ones that received an egg.

I could teach you how to prepare food for it.

Someone in our house must have. I was told these creatures eat fruit.

Ah yes, but fruit alone isn't enough for a growing pokemon.

Oh! That is an "Eeveeeee". Did you ask for an egg too?

[ Uh, he didn't actually get an egg himself, he just knows other people that did. ]
