Feminine Characters

So just browsing the internet and of course, some bashing just has to catch my eye. I'm sure this has been said a billion and two times already but it annoys me so much when people hate on incredibly feminine characters for the sole reason of being girly

I think there's a disconnect between what people think a strong female character is. Most seem to think it's strong female, character when it should be strong character, female.

Colette is actually pretty strong character because the game gives her a personality and motivations. She has hopes, dreams, and fears. As you progress the plot, you get to know her as a person.

This could also stem from people not having the original source. Like Sakura from the Fate series actually has a really interesting route in the VN but if you just watched the anime, she doesn't get that much screen time and a lot of her more interesting stuff got cut out.

I guess it comes from years of pretty girls being damsels that there's a backlash against girly-girls, when there really doesn't need to be.
