Something that bothered me a lot was how, when Lizzie showed her Protective Girlfriend ID recently, was how lots of people started chanting "yay, she's finally useful" and "I LOVE HER NOW". No you guys, you don't appreciate her now, you're still judging her by unfair standards because you only like her due to her showing off her fighting skills, but you'd continue to bash her and treat her like shit if things were different.

I don't think she was so influenced by Madame Red on how "girls should act", though. It's way more complex than just that, considering the whole Victorian Britain deals: if a girl wasn't a proper lady, she'd likely be in BIG trouble with others. IIRC, wasn't Ciel shit scared of her mom since he though she was too pushy, huh?

Other than that, I quite agree. Lizzie really, really doesn't deserve the shit she gets everywhere.

I have to admit I was guilty of becoming a fan of her cause of that. Like, I never really hated her, I just was sort of neutral about her but felt sorry for her that she got all the shit.
And all these people that are like that, you just know that before that page, they were like "YES, SHE'S GOING TO DIE!" and those people are the worst offenders of flip flopping.

Well she made some comments that I think Lizzy took to heart. And yes that's true, but to be fair, Lizzy's mom...what twelve year old wouldn't be scared of her and think she's a pushy hard ass? Especially considering how the rest of her family acts, including her husband. Lizzy is cutesy, her Husband is friendly but mans up when needed, and her son is Prince Charming. Seeing that and then seeing her...words would escape you.

Eh, it's not so much that I hate her. When I first started watching and reading Kuroshitsuji it's that I really didn't think anything of her. Her whole act just really irritated me and her voice in the anime was too high pitched and cutesy for my ears. What really got me to hate her and be unforgiving though was when she spazzed and pretty much destroyed Ciel's ring, thank god for Sebastian for fixing that. I hated her because at that moment she showed herself to be very selfish and ignorant of the feelings of others. It wasn't until she was kidnapped and was in her little monologue that I eased up a bit. However, I still honestly dislike her because I've yet to see enough from her to like her. I may like Sebastian/Ciel and like cracking jokes about them, but I certainly don't fangirl like a raving lunatic over them. Then again that's just me being picky about only wanting to read/look at well written/drawn things of them. I don't really mind Ciel/Lizzy. But back to the point, it's not that I hate Lizzy for the usual reasons specified ( ... )

If I recall correctly, after said spazz attack and Sebastian kept him from slapping her senseless, I felt he sort of came to the realization "you know I should probably be nicer to another human being I'm going to be STUCK WITH should I live to see past 17".

I can understand the bratty argument, it does make sense, but at the same time that was when she was first introduced, she had to be hammered out a bit just like any other character, don't you figure? I mean after that chapter she did pull out of that "I WANT IT HOW I WANT IT" phase enough that she wasn't insufferable.
HAD she stayed like that I can't say I'd much like her either.

Precisely. However, while watching Kuroshitsuji II I started to tolerate her. But then of course Kuroshitsuji just had to make me dislike her again. With one sentence. XD In the OVA Ciel and Wonderland when it was the court and she yelled "I WANTED TO WEAR MY PINK DRESS!" At that I had to facepalm because I was starting to like her and tolerate her. I mean, I understand the reasoning behind her saying that and all. But how they made her phrase it just...Made me dislike her again.

I think a non-canon OVA is a bit much to start disliking her, personally. That and I never watched the animes (nor do I really plan to) so I cannot share in your distaste over just her. The very concept of II and those OVAs sort of sits wrong with me anyways.

So I guess we're at odds there.

I defended her like that because that's pretty much most of the people that I see complaining about her and why. Sure there's probably a few people, like yourself, that just found her character annoying in general, without being some sort of magical anti-shipping attacker. However, the majority seems to be, from those I found, to be people that are really into pedoYaoi.

Again, don't know anything about the anime, so don't know if that nun ever got tore to shreds by the fangirls.

Of course at the same time, I question that theory about anyone female actually getting similar treatment, because I've never seen anyone really complain about Beast for "getting between the two" like I've seen with Lizzy. Of course that just may be my own luck in the matter.

It's true she's in love with Joker, but there was this annoying subtle wavering about the whole thing afterwards. For like all of a panel and a half. But it was still there.
Also I think Beast has the pro of just being awesome on her side.

Oh no I'm aware of people who will become violently irate at the very thought of someone interested in a guy. Sure I've seen it more from the "YOU CAN'T GET IN THE WAY OF THEIR TWU WUB" from yaoi-ites, but just girls flailing for main guys and wishing the girl away, that is not an alien concept to me.
