Soul Calibur Character bashing at its finest!

I love the this fighting game. Maybe it was a mistake when they relaed it on console. It's not just Yunsung getting bashed... it is all the characters now. It really grates my nerves.

Heh, I know how you feel. Ivy's my favorite SC character, and she gets bashed a lot too.

I do feel sorry for Ivy. I really dislike the SOul Calibur Link Fangirls. I have nothing aginst Link; but i am sick and tired of seeing him bashing the poor characters. I am glad that the murderous, rampaging Link fic got removed.

Mmmm...

I remember several fans bashing Xianghua a while ago for being the stereotype of a cute girl, or because Kilik might be intrested in her.

Others bashed Seung Mina because she was a "ditz" or a "violent tomboy"...

Bleh, Seung Mina owns. Her third costume proves girls can rock as much as boys, especially when they're in a full length dress. :P But afaik, she's neither ditz nor violent tomboy. She's a modern woman. \o/ She only wants to prove she can be as good as Hwang and Yunsung can be. She should be loved. :\

Ohh but I love Astaroth... He's not sane, by a long shot, but I rather think of him as childlike. He's, what? 8? In the new game. He knows nothing more than killing, as proven by the last game, but the last game also proved he can do good

I find Astraroth... ((all of him...)) to be cute. DOn't ask me. I love a giant 7 year old golem who carries an axe.

Maxi can fall into the bashing department. Maybe because of his sauve looks and good attitude.

I think Maxi falls into the bashing category because he's a buttonbasher's dream. Moreso even in SC2 than in SC1. It's pretty annoying to have the crap kicked out of you by someone who doesn't know what they're doing because they're just hammering the buttons (guard button is your friend!), I think that's what turns people against him.

I have to admit though, I, er, actually cried at his SC1 ending... >.>; I'd just gotten fond of him, then he did that!

Then they resurrected him for SC2, which I wasn't so happy with... But I'm sure I'll live. :) They kept my ickle pet in (Sie-kun), and even let him be topless, so I can forgive them almost anything. :)

And yesh, Astaroth is pretty sweet. That beating heart is a little iffy, but his first costume does seem to make him a little sweeter. I like his call of 'Worms!'. ^_^;

Maxi's ending in SC1 make me want to cry also. Kilik was even going to cry!

I did find an Astroth bashing fic. Poor Golem...

I had my share of getting mad at Soul Calibur guys but thats when they were my opponents or because I thought they were too slow or whatever. But I don't hate any of them for heaven's sake.
