I am easily a Sakura hater. For a multitude of reasons.-_-.
But it's obvious in Shippuden that she worked and trained hard for her new found strength and skills.

It's gotten downright pathetic in a lot of the SasuNaru fics where she either goes 1.Suicidal. 2.Homicidal. 3.Becomes a crazed stalker determined to break them up and or joins Akatsuki to help them take out Naruto. Au or not.

Thanks for saying that. It's always good to see haters who manage to be rational about their dislike instead of just being huge raging tards about it (and using Hinata as a stick to beat Sakura with, which I've seen way too many times, and vice versa). I mean, I admit to hating Sasuke, BUT I try to be rational about it instead of just going "lol Sauce is an emo and i haet him". Like, I might not like him but I can understand why he is the way he is, and I think his anger is justified, and you've got to give Kishimoto credit for writing a character who's polarised the fandom so much. He's like the anime equivalent of Marmite.

No problem.^_^.
I can't stand it when people hate a character for shallow to non-existent reasons. Such as, believing they will get in the way of a pairing, canon or not.

I make it a point to give every character I dislike a few chances before passing judgment. I used to hate Aerith from FF7 but took her off of my list recently.

He has created some interesting characters but it's a few of the fans I don't like.

Even for fanfiction it doesn't seem remotely possible that Sakura and Hinata will duke it out with each other especially since Sakura appears to still have feelings for Sasuke and Hinata is in love with Naruto. Something I still want Kishimoto to expand up on.Darn it.

Pardon my asking but who or what is Marmite? Sounds familiar.;^^;.
And you're right about Sasuke.

Kishi is a pretty blatant Misogynist, and even if he wasn't Shounen manga conventions mean that female characters almost always get royally screwed over by plot, no matter how awesome they should theoretically be.

Yeah, it sucks.

But there is a small but dedicated community of Sakura fans who actually develop her as a rounded, competent character in fanfic, instead of the larger fan crowd of people who just use her a a romantic proxy.

Loyalty, Five Kingdoms for the Dead, Expectations of Development, Deadly Decisions, Suiren...

Good stuff.
