Remember the Anzu fanfic rant that I posted months ago, I decided to do a fanfic rant to the most underpreciated character in the DB Fandom, and yes you guys all know it's Yamcha.

You know what, I remember reading something like this when I was a Yamcha basher. Even then I thought "wow...that's really OOC of Yamcha. He's too dopey and sweet to be abusive. Cheating, maybe, but abusive? No...well, at least nobody else thinks like this."

That was five years ago, I think. Wow. Hard to believe that more than one person thinks like that.

...I remember how the one I read ended, too. Or at least when I stopped reading it. "Okay. What? WHAT? Yamcha sicced his so-called friends on Bulma to rape her? What the hell, why would Yamcha do that? Gggghhh. Forget Vegeta, if the rest of the guys found out about this...I think even Oolong would be out for blood!"

Holy OOC from Hell, Batman. What.

I mean, I can be called biased. I'm a Yamcha fan. But that whole premise there just… sure, he's rough around the edges. Sure, he has wandering eyes at times. But come on, he really only ever loved Bulma and even at his most jealous over her attention to Vegita, his negativity was focused mostly on the latter. (Certainly all the physicality was aimed toward Vegita.)

Bulma had the guy wrapped around her little finger! (When they weren't squabbling as so many anime couples seem prone to do.) He'd never hit her.

Argh. Nothing like a big fat reminder why I don't look at the Pit of Voles unless linked.

Sometimes I wonder if we're all watching the same series. Because in the DBZ I atch, Yamucha and Bulma are still good friends. Even after she has Trunks, Yamucha still hangs around Capsule Corp. and visits her. Wtf, shippers?
