I love her because she is not like your typical other love interest. She has done nothing bad and she has not tried to manipulate Romeo in anyway. It's not her fault she loves a guy who doesn't love her back.
And I really hope they don't go the revenge or psycho route with Hermione's character because right now I like her character because they haven't made her like that. But if they do I'll blame the writers not her.
Not to mention that people accuse her of having no spine. If she were as spineless as they said, she would've just cowered in fear as Papa Montague pimpslapped Romeo and ordered Ciel to be taken away.

Dude, that would be such an easy way out and VERY OoC for Hermione. I could see her going crazy a la Hamlet!Ophelia *as much*, or being manipulated by the clans, but becoming downright evil just because "he liked her better than me" doesn't seem to be her style. :3
but Tybalt is her cousin :DX anyways, I am pro-Hermione. Juliet isn't exactly the epitome of the perfect Heroine either (there are times I want to wring her neck lol) Romeo too has his moments of *gah he needs to be bitch-slapped* Hermione on the other hand has not illicited any of these feelings on my part.
