I of course mean the movie version of Kiriyama since it's kinda hard to have a relationship when you can't... y'know feel emotions.

People hate Shuuya and Noriko? D: Their conversation about trust (in the manga, at least; I've read both the manga and the book and seen the first movie) made me cry. Hard.

Major word. They're both incredibly self-sacrificing; I don't see how someone could hate them! That, and they play such important roles... it's ridiculous. Really. Ridiculous.

Mitsuko-chama will always be my favourite, but there's a REASON I cry at the end of that book every single time I read it.

gets me every time.

How anyone could hate Shuuya and Noriko, I haven't a clue.

Indeed. That like gets me too. And it's true. Having been with them throughout their entire ordeal, they along with rest of the class, have become a part of us.

And now that I think about it, it's not just Shuuya and Noriko. A bunch of people on the BattleRoyaleFilm.com's forum said that they don't like Nakagawa Yuka (Girl 16, not related to Noriko) because she's fat! WTF!? Fat people have feelings too! One person called Etou Megumi (Girl 3) and Fujiyoushi Fumiyo (Girl 18) ugly in the manga because of their noses. O_o Another girl said that she hated Kotohiki Kayoko (Girl 8) for "killing my man", refering to Sugimura Hiroki (Boy 11, and another popular character). But frankly I can't blame her. In the novel and movie, it's very late in the game. Sugimura has been relentlessly searching for Kayoko to confess his feelings of love. This has not been an easy task. He's had to fight Kiriyama at some point in both versions. This has left him somewhat wounded. Tell me, if you were in Kayoko's situation with classmates killing each other ruthlessly and a wounded boy (who has always looked somewhat intimidating) stumbles upon you, what are you going to think? She runs. Sugimura chases after her, ( ... )
