1. Gimli is love. ^^ It's suprising that all those rabid fangirls and Sues don't notice that he's *the most romantic* character in the series.

2. Legolas/Gimli = OTP! Legolas wouldn't take just *any* guy to the Undying lands~!

3. Thank you for all the comments. It's good to see that poor ol' Gimli isn't just hated.

4. There are a few excellent rants defending Gimli and I heart everybody who wrote them.

Gimli totally rocks.

The movies (though I absolutely *love* them) really messed up Gimli's character. He started out fine, in FotR, but gradually became the Comic Relief Character.

Gimli is awesome in the book, as Dwarf representative in the Fellowship, as a character who was more than this silly guy who can't hold his liquor.
