Wait... People hate FFX Yuna?... I'll admit I would really like to know what the hell happened to make her FFX-2 Yuna, but FFX Yuna is one of my favorite characters ever.

Yeah I've seen some Yuna hate here and there. Not as great as the amount of Tidus hate, but it definitely exists. Usually they're calling her weak or (going by FFX-2 Yuna) a slut.

I haven't beaten FFX yet but so far she and Auron are my favorite characters.

What is so wrong with Yuna? I thought she was a great character. I enjoyed seeing someone who was unsure about what she was doing and little scared. It felt more real. I know that's how I would feel about everything.

And I agree, he should be with the person he loves. Some people just get down right wierd about their fandoms.

Yeah, that's one of the main reasons I've been hearing frequently. Sometimes it's even said by the FFX-2 Yuna fans because her FFX-2 self was "cool" and "badass" while her FFX self was a "whimpy damsel in distress".

I'm really tired of FFX bashing in general, since most of it is accompinied by "I feel like the only person who feels this way on the internet!" Which is bullshit, since it's the second most bashed game in the series on the internet, after VIII.

I personally think those two games and most games after F7 get blamed for not being the sequel to F7.

Plus, both F8 and F10 are pretty different I think compared to the rest of the series.

I really hate a lot of my fellow RPG fans for that exact reason. All they want is FFVII, FFVI, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, and FF Tactics over and over and over again, and anything that does something even mildly different from those gets whined about endlessly. Blech.

Hmm, thinking about it, while the Final Fantasy games have for a long time had distinct characters, I can see someone being frustrated by the relationships of the character they've played in the game from the beginning being dictated by someone else's storyline. They might've let you change the name of the characters for sometime, but you weren't changing the characters. Of course if someone wants an ending to a story that's different from the canon one they can always write it themselves. That's one of the reasons people write fanfic. It's harsh to say Tidus is better off alone than with someone he loves.

I thought Yuna was one of the strongest characters in the game. Maybe not very powerful but she was strong and got stronger throughout the game. And I hate it when someone just goes "I hate this character" or "I love this character" and never gives any reason WHY. I don't see how anyone could agree to their opinions if they do that.

I saw nothing so wrong with FFX-2 Yuna other than the way she dressed.
