...Well, it's apparently true. T_T

Cut for language on the part of the hater, and some longness )

Your arguments have said everything already that i could say. (yea.. his difficulty about not killing people was a major plot point and really made the show interesting) so... I just say

That person makes me sad ;_; What a jerk-faced macho idiot.

Oh, I know!

And this was on an Akira board, too. Akira fans are usually exceptionally sweet and the least catty of all anime fans. T_T

OH, FOR THE LOVE OF...!

Whoever says that only stereotypically manly heroes (aka: violent jerks) are worthy needs as much bitchslapping as the idiots who say that a girl must show her strength by being mannish and bitchy.

Argh. *uses her icon dedicated to misrepresented/ignored/bashed characters *

I know! Vash is a good person because he's kind and always tries to find a way not to kill a single soul. And that, my friends, is what a real hero is.

If Vash killed the bad guys, he'd be like every other sterotypical, over powered wannabe. He'd be a Gary Stu.

Yeah! He'd just be another faceless gunman in the world of anime.

I personally think that if you can afford to get by without having to kill anyone, especially on a world that dangerous, you're pretty strong.

I know! It's really something else!

...And why do I have no Vash icons!? He's one of my favorite characters ever! *Must fix*

I get really tired of hearing the "He doesn't kill people! PUSSY!" argument because it's both lame and a tad unsettling. Lame because while Vash does comically freak out, I imagine it'd take a lot of courage to put your life on the line to save various people by using a gun and not killing anyone at the same time. Unsettling, because the argument makes it sounds like killing is an easy task when it's definitely not. Really, you go take a gun and blow a person's head off without a moment's hesitation and tell me how easy and fun it is. Come on.

Exactly!

I think Vash is really something. *Nods*

I like violence in anime too, or at least I watch enough of it, but if that's all there is it gets pretty hideously boring.

I love how he says he isn't into "what's in" but cites "Alucardd" as a positive example. Not exactly an obscure or unpopular character (Not that I don't love him myself, well, "Alucard" anyway.)

Actually I think Vash and Alucard would have fun. Alucard would shoot at him and actually miss for once, Vash would shoot back and Alucard would never get hurt... and then we could have freaky yaoi.

Seriously, this just strikes me as writing a character off because you don't care to understand their motivations. If he doesn't like Vash, fine, but "not violent enough" is a pretty silly reason.

That would be the bestest crack pairing ever.

Yeah, I watch plenty of violent anime, too.

I know, I found that kind of weird, too. And Trigun hasn't been the new, in-thing in a while. This guy must have missed the memo. It's all Naruto and other random crap now.

Yeah, the red-coated gunmen! X3

Yeah, that's why I posted this here. It's fine not to like a character, but this is just dumb. O_o
