I stepped foot into the Lion King fandom after a very long absence. (I haven't looked at that fandom since the second movie came out) I was surprised to see that a lot of dislike and sometimes hate was directed towards Simba's daughter, Kiara. Really? I adored Kiara. Never knew she was hated...

... What the hell is up with that ridiculous arguement?

I've actually seen a girl complain about how Musashi (Jessie- she's the girl. Obviously... though I used an AG picture of her. The switch from cel animation to computer animation hurt the art badly, so it's not as detailed as Miya's picture, but it's... alright, original animation picture. xD Musashi ticked off.) isn't as beautiful as Miyamoto.

... They're both beautiful, just different. O_o;; And that's no reason to hate Musashi. ^^;

Oy. I didn't know that there would be such Kiara hatred either, though I guess it shouldn't surprise me. It seems like a lot of people hate sequels, and they just look for reasons to do so. A lot of times, new characters in sequels have to take a lot of unfair bashing.

You prefer Simba's Pride? ^^ Me too! I dunno, there was just a lot about it that I really loved, new characters included, and the lessons in it I could relate to better than in The Lion King.

Oh, does that movie bring back memories *remembers the music happily* but...why? Just--WHY? Just because Simba looks like Mufasa doesn't mean Kiara has to look like Nala. Are we in some alternate universe where children always look like one parent or the other?

Give me a break! People bash Kiara? She's awesome. I adore The Lion King 2, so at the moment I'm most surprised that it has a big enough fanbase for this.

Agreed. It's the same way with Melody, Ariel's daughter from The Little Mermaid II (I actually dislike that movie alot but I love Melody). People mindlessly bash her because:

1. She can't live up to or isn't as pretty as Ariel

2. She's a stupid, selfish brat (despite the fact that I found her motives much more sensible than Ariel's, who did all what she did over one guy she only saw once).
