I am shocked. Are they even reading the same book? And I personally love the Cosette/Marius love story, but adore Eponine. Just my two cents.

BTW though, it's revealing, not reveling...my mind kept trying to not picture Eponine reveling in her clothes.

Sorry about that, as you can see I wasn't in the best mood when I wrote that. Thus I missed a word or two. Currently I am not signed up so I can't fix it, I only sign up when I have something to post then remove it from my communities list (because I had some bad run in with a few not so humble fans, whom will attack me just for posting this).

Anyways, I hope that didn't come out badly, I mean anyone is entitled to ship Marius/Cosette. I just don't like it when they whine about how their ship doesn't get love due to Eponine fans (when it is pretty popular now, even though it wasn't back in the 90s).

Eponine is amazing girl love. I don't really see how people can hate her, but that's just me and my bias. I really loved her in the book, I really loved her in the movie, and then I go online and read a fanfiction...

Dear Lord, the poor girl gets bashed constantly. I agree with your argument and...oi. The M/C fans. Their pairing is canonized, Eponine is dead, so I don't see why they have to kick her while she's down, too.

Amen. I thought I was the only one who sees the prejudice on FFN. I could list many review boards on FFN where there is a huge flame brigade whenever someone writes M/E. I honestly don't think it was always that way though. I think it used to be the opposite way around in fact. *shrugs*

I tend to think the Eponine bashing is a sort of revenge from Cosette fans who are tired of the Cosette *and* CosettexMarius bashing that comes from several Eponine rabid fans. Since a part of the Eponine supporters resort to bashing to show their "support", they think it's fair to do the same...

Two wrongs don't make a right. Bitch, PLEASE. Shouldn't they know how much bashing "hurts" and avoid to bash back, anyway? I love Cosette and her story with Marius, but this doesn't mean I'm not allowed to like Eponine atr the same time. Pheh.

I don't often see many rabid Eponine fans anymore. I've seen old topics on dead forums from the 90s but nothing new. I think that revenge bashing is just WTF? I'm not really into Marius/Cosette so much, but I don't really go around bashing it or Cosette herself around FFN or any other random forum. The worst part is that they bash fans who like Eponine and ramble about how we only like her because of we think we can relate to her unrequited love. >.> Dude, there is more to her character than that, and besides who cares if that is the reason someone likes her. People these days.
