Do to musical remakes on film musical theatre has been going through a rush of popularity. Come November they may be an even greater rush of fans do to the Rent movie that is soon to be released. However, this has also caused people to dive into a few of my fandoms, and bring character bashing in with them. I want to ask them what Les Miserables ( Read more... )

Come to think of it I'm not quite sure if it would have been as enjoyable for me if Marius and Eponine had requited love for each other.

I agree. I adore songs/movies/books/plays/whatever that make me emotionally heightened. And goddamn did Eponine ever make me bawl like a baby. If she would've gotten the OMG HAPPY ENDING!!!!1 then it would have made me feel much less fulfilled afterwards.

Also Eponine is my favorite character as well. ♥

Yes, another mature Eponine fan.

Granted I do ship Marius/Eponine, but I respect the canon to much to wish for it to change. Besides it makes fanfiction more fun for me if I have a lot of possibilities to work with.
