People bitch about her eating habits? Really? Are people *that* insecure? In the words of School of Rock "Hey, I like to eat, is that a crime?". Dude, some people are so petty.

Great rant. Miaka isn't my favourite character but I'm sick of the constant complaints about her.

Yep.

LOTS of the "OMFG LOOKIT THE HAWT GUYS" fangirls bitch about this to find one more lame excuse for hating her without reason.

It's okay if she's not your favourites. Like we say in french "We cant be pleasurable to everybody" ^^
If people dislike Miaka for some valuables reasons, or just dont like her, it's okay.
But I hate when "OMFG ALL THE HAWTIES IN THIS ANIME BELONG TO ME!!!11 MIAKA'S A SLUT!!!11"

Thanks anyway. ^^

When I first starting reading the manga (and I'm still not finished) I wasn't all the fond of Miaka. I still wouldn't say I hated her, but I din't understand why she was the star.

But I liked how she grew a little as time went on and changed her priorities. And learned to appreciate people.

Yep. Miaka does have a HUGE quality: the one of adapting herself to situations, and to mature.

She first accepted the prietress/miko job only for her desires, thinking it would be easy. But she then discovered it was not easy at all, and that people will suffer because of this.

Some would have run away from this 'job', but she kept going. That's why I love her.

She was rather immature (but very kind) in the beginning because she was in a easy-going life, just a normal high-school girl which the only problems were entrance exams.
