I wasn't too thrilled when she appeared in the Card Captor Sakura TV series. Her voice still makes me wince from time to time (sorry Yukana Nogami fans - she's just not my cup of chocolate). I thought she'd be a Shampoo clone, thus I didn't expect too much from her at first ( Read more... )

I love Meiling and was always (and still am) a diehard fan of Shaoran+Meiling. Meiling is up there with Tomoyo and Touya being my favourite characters from the series.

Meiling was always my favourite character. When she left, I couldn't keep watching the show, and that's the reason that I can't get into the manga. There's just something missing there without her. There's no spunky tomboyish girl. I can't relate to Tomoyo or Sakura the way I can relate to Meiling.

And Syaoran x Meiling = CCS OTP. S+S kind of... bored me once Syaoran stopped being a little annoyance. Took all the fun out of it.

Pluss! Usagi, Chibi Usa and Chibi Chibi aren't the only odango-sporting characters from Sailor Moon! There's the twins from the Witches 5, Nehelenia and Minako wore odangos to fool the bad guys. :D

But they never got bashed for using them. That's what I was talking about. Several Usa-2 bashers include the "dtupid odangos" crap in their reasons for bashing them both. And it pains me to no end, since I like odangos. They're cute. ^^

Meiling rocks. She's pretty near the top of my favorite characters list, just because she is so complex. And the fanpoodles out there writing bad S&S simply do not understand: She had him first, and she gave him up. That is not the mark of a jealous bitch! Thank you!

But Meiling/Naoko could be sweet. Or a Meiling/Tomoyo/Naoko trio. They all need some luvin'. ^_^

I *adored* Meiling. Not that I don't love Tomoyo and Sakura, and I probably have more in common with Tomoyo than any CCS character... but it was Meiling who got me hooked on CCS the anime.

Not only is she a realistic young girl, she's funny and gets some great development. Any girl who can let the person they love go just so that they can be happy are brilliant people. That's why Tomoyo and Meiling both have my respect.

I don't understand *why* Meiling gets so bashed. MANY girls have been in her posistion, and it's not an easy one to be in.
