I've never been a super big fan of the Mobile Fighter G Gundam series; however, I do enjoy it, and can go past the goofy mecha design to see the story and the characters behind them. Ooh, G Gundam. Such an interesting series, if difficult to take seriously because there are places where it's very...um...well, corny. But I do admit I watched it for a while and liked the characters. I think George was my favorite, and I thought he and Marie Louise were adorable together, though anyone who thinks there wasn't a huge potential for romance between George and Chibodee is lying to themeselves...

I felt bad for Allenby. She had a lot of potential as a character, but that was killed completely by the fact that she was introduced a bit too far into the series. Actually, I think there's a large number of characters that suffer from this...I can think of two others without trying... ::glares at Pokémon fandom::

I admit being a George/Maria shipper who has a sorta soft spot for George/Chibodee - but never found a decent one. In all the fanfics I've seen, George is horribly wimpified, when I think that if he lets himself be more loose, he'd be a great "reversible".

Had she been mentioned ever before, maybe that wouldn't be so bad. We have Domon and Rain getting closer and closer, and then BAMF!, this girl appears and has a crush on Domon. Many D/R fans (not including me since I knew she'd appear) were "WTF, MATE?!". Even then, it's not Allie's fault... *sigh*

Hey, you're a lot like me, then, since that's pretty much how I would describe myself for pairings. Poor George. I didn't even look at the fanfiction to know they would wimpify him. Just because his attack involves pretty roses doesn't mean he's a pansy!

Exactly! And having a pretty face doesn't make you queer, too. George is a sweetheart, but he's also very emotionally strong. And maybe bi with a crush on Chibs and another on Maria, but that's wishful thinking it seems.//The last thing a character should be bashed for is having a crush. She was just in Berserker Mode when she was fighting it out with Rain and yelling about how much she loved Domon. No DG Cells involved.

I dunno if Rising Gundam counts as a "frontline fighter", but Rain definitely gets some combat time. (Never send a Real Robot mechanic to do a Super Robot mechanic's job!)

And, yeah, I'm totally not getting how anybody thinks Mystical Love Pixy Allenby (thank you, last episode, for being on crack) is getting _between_ Domon and Rain. Well, except in the sense that she's standing there holding a signpost.
