I can't like both?

Apparently I can't like both The Lion King's Scar and Darkwing Duck's Steelbeak. Not only do some Scar fans have a disturbing, deep hatred for the rooster (for reasons I still don't get), I got flamed by at least six people when I happened to notice the two had some things in common O_o

I got nothing. Unless maybe it's a case of "You like a character I hate, therfore you are an idiot, therefore HOW DARE YOU LIKE A CHARACTER I LIKE!" or conversely. "You like a character I like, therefore you must be my little fan-clone, therefore you simply cannot like a character I hate."

I hear you. What gets me is that the two fandoms aren't even really related 'cept for being Disney, for chrissakes...
