This is just begging for expansion as a child's first book of the alef-bet.

I don't think a child would get the subtle points that are the bits which make it enjoyable to me...

...it could work as an aleph-bet book, but you'd have to do it with cartoon dogs. Which would be no such bad thing :)

It would never have occurred to me that when my dog does those ridiculous poses she is actually working on her aleph-bet! Very cute.
