I saw this absolute travesty and immediately thought of weasels_of_fire.

Today is rei_in's birthday and while he normally doesn't read much LJ these days it's worth mentioning on account of the truly excellent video I just stumbled over which he'd love! The video came via jwz, a cool performance to Daft Punk.

I found this latest fantastic addition to my music collection via jwz, of course. I whole heartedly second his recommendation to (legally) download this album.

A quick question for locals, has anyone actually decided whether or not they're actually going to the Assemblage 23 gig on Friday?

For the last few weeks I've been listening to jwz's mix tapes. Usually I've been using the weekly release for my morning alarm.

If you haven't been following these mixes already, I highly recommend you do so. Waking this morning to the tenth mix was great and it really is worth a listen.

I know there are many people who read this who are in bands or produce their own music, as well as people always eager for new and interesting stuff to listen to.

Reading The Age website in the last half hour has been both amusing (see the previous post) and depressing. Luciano Pavarotti passed away a short while ago following his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Nemesis was fun, the huge break in playing anywhere has resulted in my interest in it has returned somewhat. So there's the definite possibility of a repeat performance at some point in the future ( Read more... )
