I'm now in search of a new job, as soon as possible. If anyone knows of places needing a good Unix (mainly Linux or Solaris) system engineer or administrator, I'm interested.

You lj-friends with kowari? She just advertised a bunch of IT jobs that might be along these lines (I'm IT clueless so forgive me if not).

I'm not, but I see a lot of mutual friends. I'll PM her, thanks. :)

I've seen that one advertised, but if Kalman's still there I wouldn't get the job.

I've already worked there (Cybersource), that's where I was before Melbourne IT.

LJ user madcowmoo posted on Farcebook about an IT job at 3CR & to contact her for position description. I noticed she's not on your friends list, but worth a shot if you PM her.

Thanks. I just had a look at their website and it's all there, looks like it's worth a shot and I'll drop her a line too. She visited a few times when I was living with gudriba.

La Trobe jsut hired one and may be looking for another some time soon. nothing right now but keep an eye on it, check out the hr website for listings www.latrobe.edu.au/jobs.

There may even be some short term contract work going, I'll ask on monday if there is a possibility of it.

Returning to La Trobe would certainly be interesting. I'd certainly appreciate the word in my favour.
