Earlier this afternoon I placed an order for a shiny new MacBook Pro. Between the decent deal offered through Sun's partner arrangement with Apple and the salary sacrifice scheme, the expense really isn't that huge. Plus, with all the on-call work I've been doing lately I deserve to treat myself a little

Unsurprisingly there's a few others at work with these beasts and sevaine has already shown me a few nifty little toys on his. It really didn't take much to push me in this direction once I started working there.

Awesome! I'm about to 'convert' myself. I can't decide whether to get an iMac or a MacBook Pro though. Still deliberating....................

A lot of people seem to be going down this path. Probably due to the ease of use, decent hardware integration and the stability and tweakability the geeks like.
