Another night out

I wandered out again late last night, I needed distraction. As it happened, the club I'd meant to go to was closed, so I resorted to Old Faithful (DV8) even though it often devolves to being more like Old Yellow. Not so last night; wendorama was playing a very entertaining set which, even though I didn't drag myself onto the dance floor much, kept me more ( Read more... )

He's landed himself a plum job: creating a webcomic for the TV series Heroes, which is scheduled for launch tomorrow.

I'll post it when I get it. I've a sneaking suspicion that it won't actually be accessible until tomorrow anyway.

...which is another way of saying YES, YOU SHOULD WATCH HEROES! Dude. But not on FTA telly - of all the series that ever should be shown without advertising breaks, Heroes is easily top of the list.

We have all 14 episodes so far (via BitTorrent) if you want. Give Himself a raing ;-)

I wouldn't be able to follow it on the TV anyway, work would inevitably find a way to screw with that. That's why I didn't get to see season 5 Babylon 5 for years after they screened over here.

So yeah, I'll probably take you up on that. What little I've seen in the pre-season ads looks quite promising and everyone is raving about it.

It really is stunningly made - intelligent (as long as you ignore the crap bioscience, but hey, y'know, X-Men...), tight-paced, superbly acted, compulsively involving...and almost impossible to guess so many of the plot twists; for every question answered as the series progresses, three more are raised. Tim Kring was obviously born to make this series...

You know Himself's work number. And mobile :D

It sounds exactly like the sort of thing I'd love.

I'll chase up Steve during the week.
