So the deal with this is there was a food scare in Korea just recently where the news media were called upon to propagate the myth that all American beef was infested with Mad Cow Disease, so that the Korean beef industry wouldn't get marginalized by cheaper American imports. Hence there were protests in the street against the importing of American beef. My friend Chantale even saw a big ad hoarding which was a cartoon of a bunch of Korean people standing firm and saying 'NO' to a boatload of googly-eyed scrawny American Crazy Cows who were about to break into their country. The Crazy Cow has a lot of currency amongst kids here.

I think I'm going to see how much overt anti-capitalist propaganda I can get away with in these before someone says something. I bet it's a lot.

when I was in Japan a couple years ago the big thing was hoof-and-mouth disease. there was a big sensationalist area in customs reserved for those poor saps who tromped through farms (presumably in Britain) and thus had to be disinfected.

Poor Eric. His only crime was that he loved too much.

Your classroom drawings + smoking weed = Match made in heaven. Oh my. I wasn't prepared for the disfiguration of Eric. Genius.

I also vote for day to day updates if it's convenient enough.

P.S. Not to be too presumptous but I wear a women's size 8.5 American

Mmm, exactly how I like my steaks... bloody rare and contagious.

Daily lessons please! Maybe it's just coincidence that you post them around the same time as my daily "touching".

daily posts please :)

For some reason crazy mutated Eric reminds me of the movie Slither. Also.. question: Where does Jin-su's hat go when they see the American cow?

He takes it off in disgust. After seeing the true mutated face of capitalism, he renounces all western culture. Which is basically what I'm trying to get these kids to do.
