I walk so much these days that taking a bus somewhere seems like using a cheat code, but yesterday I did the old UP UP DOWN DOWN B A etc, and wound up over in Magnolia. Somehow I ended up walking nine miles today, and I suspect that my parts will be ridiculously sore for it tomorrow. This is something that I am not looking forward to. Two months in Seattle now, and I've pretty much settled in. I'm not 100% - the car is still in Nashville, I haven't been able to get bookcases yet, I still have boxes at the house in Nashville - but I'm definitely comfortable now. My bed and my couch showed up today! I was initially ecstatic, but then I remembered that they were from IKEA and I would have to assemble them. Five hours later, I was back to being ecstatic. What a month it's been! Trying to settle into a new city is something I haven't done in a long long while, especially when that city is very unlike any place I've ever lived before.
