The door across from Joanne opened, and Mark was ushered int, handcuffed and in the lovely orange jumpsuit of the NYC police force. It didn't suit him, the colour.

His hair was mussed, eyes worried, and simply looking very very tired. As he sits down, he cracks a small smile. "Hey. I was going to call you, but they didn't let me have a phone after my one phone call. I was hoping Roger would get my message..." He pauses, eyes almost wild. "He is alright, isn't he? And Mimi, and Collins, and Maureen?"

"Roger's fine, Mark. Everyone's fine, except for worrying about you. What the hell happened? I can't seem to get anyone to tell me anything about your case. They say that everything'll be revealed at your trial, unless you retain council before that." She pauses. "By the way. You need to sign this, so that I can have accesst to the records of your case. Right now they won't tell me anything because I'm not officially your criminal lawyer, just Today For You's civil lawyer." She opened her briefcase, pulling out a paper, a pen, and a list of points she needed to speak to Mark about.

Pushing the paper over to Mark, she watched him, his expression and his manner. It wasn't pretty.

Mark took the pen, and signed, almost idly. "Duh. I should have had them sent for you before this. Sorry. I've been worried sick about Roger and Mimi, because I can't get them the AZT, and hell, I don't even know if Roger has cash for food. Can I give you my bank numner or something so that he can get groceries or something?" The almost-panic is back for a moment.

"Mark, if Roger needs anything, I'll make sure he gets it until you get out. If you really feel the need to pay me back, I'll keep a list of what I loan Roger." She paused, putting the signed paper back in her briefcase. "Mark, you have to listen to me. I need to know what happened, and what they've been telling you. Something's not right about this entire case, and I'm going to find what it is. Now, please. Just take a deep breath, and tell me what happened." She pauses. "I don't think I need to tell you this, Mark, but tell me -everything-. I don't think you murdered anyone, and I don't think you robbed a bank, so whatever it was, even if you did do something, tell me, so we can make a case. Please."

She pulled out a legal pad and her pen and sighed. Of all the people in the Loft group, she was least expecting to be sitting in front of Mark trying to get him out of jail.
