Chinese StuffSo, I'm taking a Chinese literature class this semester, and just earlier this evening I read a (pretty famous, I'm told) short story called 《棋王》, and the whole thing would not stop reminding me of Hikaru no Go. I mean, '棋' in this case was Chinese chess, not go, and there was a gigantic difference in tone...but, still, I couldn't help ( Read more... )

Have been brainstorming for 棋王/HnG; the whole thing is getting out of hand very fast. XD

I love Vienna Teng, that's a beautiful rendition! I was always kind of "meh" about the original song, but then again, I was never a huge fan of Sting. ^_^;;

I love everything by Vienna Teng, too. Her voice might not be as smooth as that of some other singers out there, but she really has a way of blending it into/getting it to work with her piano arrangements. ♥

:D I've been listening to them both over and over and over...

I get the feeling that whoever was in charge of the whole thing probably took special care to give him the coolest-looking outfit. And then he goes and generates pictures like this. XDD
