I think you should drink a glass of warm milk or water, go to bed, close your eyes and listen to music. That always help me every time I feel sleepy but couldn't sleep. Classical is a good choice ^.^ And stay away from cellphone, laptop and TV. You can't sleep with those things around!
I experience this once before. Had so many things to do, didn't sleep for 3 days and then when I want to sleep, I couldn't. After that, I felt like my body is not mine anymore, like I borrowed it from someone else =.=

I just close my eyes yesterday and I finally can sleep! Even though it's only for 5 hours. It's better than nothing, right? xD
I know what you mean. I can't even feel my hands anymore. It's kinda numb and I always make a mistake when typing T.T

In terms of insomnia.. baths at night help but a really late warm bath might not be good for the health..
reading might help too...

I think as long as get rid of your stress first you can sleep better..
or maybe try a little snack, like milk or cheese before sleep, would help maybe.
