Ueda was walking towards the bathroom, the corridor seemed longer than what he remembered, but the pianist thought it was just his imagination. Everyone was so tired after that hard month of lives.
“YUICHI!!!” Ueda run as soon as he turned the corner of the corridor, recognizing the thin frame curled on the floor and rushed to his best friend’s side. “Yuichi! Yuichi!” shouted again, shaking the older’s body trying to wake him up. The pianist’s heart was beating hard in his chest; he was panicking more and more because the other wasn’t waking up.

Almost ready to yell aloud and call for help Ueda was stopped as a weak hand grabbed his forearm. Tired eyelids slowly opened his breath short and laboured; Yuichi looked up at the younger man slightly shaking his head. “I… I’m ok…” mumbled taking deep breaths, the piercing pain slowly calming down. He could see the younger’s fear in those brown eyes, but the beat boxer couldn’t risk his band mates to know about his health.
“I overworked myself… - Breathed out and attempted a light smile - Don’t be scared Tatsuya. I’m okay, just a little too tired…” Yuichi knew the other wasn’t so naïve to believe his words, but his eyes were pleading Ueda to not call the others... Tightening his grip on his forearm Yuichi slowly pulled himself up and the pianist quickly supported his weight, finding Yuichi incredibly lighter. When did he loose so much weight?

“Yuichi, you’re not okay, let me call someone!” insisted the boxer but he just received a curt ‘No’ as reply. “I said I’m ok, I just overdid things” insisted the older singer and looked at his friend with a serious look.

Footsteps approached the strangely silent dressing room and a brownish haired heard plopped inside the room, peeking from behind the door.
“Hey guys…” Sing.-sang a cheerful Koyama who’s smile was so bright that the worn out Jin, Koki, Junno and Kame almost shut their eyes tight to avoiding the hitting light.

“The last song was a blast, you gave it all you had left huh?” commented and stepped inside the room throwing quick glances at the four members. “Where are the two old men?” surprised to see his friend and Ueda were missing, while the other four looked like a whole herd of cows run down them.

“Hey Koyama” waved Jin too lazy to stand up and smiled sleepy at the older man, while Kame imitated the other’s gesture waving his hand too, commenting on how glad he was that the NewS member came to watch their show.
“You chose the best show!” said the rapper satisfied of their last performance grinning letting his arm circle Kame’s shoulder, pulling the younger member closer.

“Tonight your performance was great! -Agreed and looked around once more, no trace of Yuichi and Tastuya- Mmmh... Where are Ueda and Yucchi?” asked the tall guy not seeing the two missing members.

“They taking too long, now that you make me notice it…” said Junno getting a little worried, not that he did suspect anything, but still... Twenty minutes already passed since his lover went to check on their leader.
“Maybe they’re having fun in the toilettes” said sour Koki, receiving a glare from the acrobat.
“Oh fuck Tanaka, shut the Hell up!” replied Junno and sunk in the sofa next to Jin, who joined the taller man, and glared at Koki as well. This teasing game was getting on his nerves.

“Koki that was too much...” agreed Kame “why are you always so harsh towards him?”
“Tsk, maybe you’re jealous…” Jin didn’t get his chance to throw a dig back at the rapper, grinning devilish. Since the younger got together with Kame, Koki’s behaviour towards Yuichi, who was supposed to be his best friend, was bordering on the bullying.

“Do you want me to kick your fatty ass, Bakanishi?” threatened Koki pulling himself up cracking his knuckles.
Kei noticed how the atmosphere was turning heavy and dangerous.
“Hey guys. C’mon! Let’s calm down, I’m sure they’re on their way back...” Kei didn’t have the time to finish his sentence that his cell phone started to buzz. He was puzzled to see the incoming call was from the friend he was waiting to see.
“Hey Yuichi, where are you? -asked, but his smile faded away as the person on the other side of the receiver informed him about the cell phone possessor. “I see, I’ll be right there.” Turning off the communication, eyes on him, Kei tried to not look worried and smiled “Seems like someone fell asleep on the toilette and Ueda can’t carry him all the way back to the changing room” He was good with putting up excuses, and that was the best moment for taking advantage of that talent.
Useless to say the four remaining members burst out laughing at the tall man explanation, imaging their leader asleep on the toilette.

Koyama quickly turned on his heels, without saying anything else. As soon as his feet brought his far enough from the guys ears, he rushed to where he was needed.
“Damnit, I knew this would happen!”

“I told you I was just tired!” growled Yuichi, still sitting on the floor, back resting against the wall. Ueda narrowed his eyes, knowing that was a lie, but he knew Yuichi too well. If the older man didn’t want to tell something nobody would convince him to confess. And that bad habit was what drove Yuichi to loose his chance with the person he was in love with. “Tsk, I wonder why I still consider you my best friend.” Muttered the pianist. “You prefer Koyama to me anyway.”
Rolling his eyes the beat boxer tilted his head to look at his band mate. “You know that’s not true, just because I don’t tell you everything it doesn’t mean I replaced you. You both are important friends to me”
Lying to his friends was something the thin man had always hated, from the deepest part of his heart but there were times when he couldn’t be honest.

Ueda was going to reply something but his attention was caught by a thin and tall running figure.
“Are you okay?” panted Koyama bending over Yuichi, scanning him with worried eyes. Ueda recognized that look. The NewS member knew something and it was upsetting.
“Your saviour is here, I’ll be back then. See you Yuichi. Koyama...” Standing up the boxer didn’t forget to throw a furious look at his band mate. Secrets were something he couldn’t stand. He’d accept everything, but not being cut out of Yuichi’s life.

“Tat-chan…” called the beat boxer “That’s not what you think…” Yuichi’s eyes followed his best friend’s back, sadly he really made him angry this time; but what could he do? He was the oldest and no matter what he had to protect his friends, even if it will make them hate him.
“Whatever, Yuichi.” Growled back as vanished behind the corridor corner.

A long sigh came from Kei’s lips as he plopped down next to Yuichi. “You’re taking the wrong path…” commented but the other guy just kept silent squeezing the flesh over his heart, this time it wasn’t his body aching. “Did you faint again Yuichi?” Koyama’s voice was serious and worried; he knew how stubborn his friend was. If not for a pure coincidence and him being terribly nagging, Yuichi wouldn’t have told him anything either.

Just nodding his head the beat boxer kept his eyes low, on the floor. He was sorry, he hurt his best friend. “Can you help me to stand please? I can’t pull myself up…” Murmured kicking back tears. His condition was getting worst, just like when he was a kid. That nightmare couldn’t be real again. Not now that he was close to realize his dream.
“Always making me do the fatigue, you’re mean Yuichi.” Koyama stood up and held Yuichi’s hands, pulling him up and quickly circled his waist with his long arm supporting him as Yuichi circled Kei’s shoulder with his long arm for further support.

“Thank you….” Murmured and they slowly moved towards the elevator. “I’ll text Massu to come and get your things, let’s go the hospital now. Geez, seriously Yuichi, you can’t go on like this.”
Not even trying to protest, Yuichi just hold onto Koyama, knowing well that behind that tone the other singer was hiding more than just worries. He was disappointed in his friend, the way Yuichi was facing this problem wasn’t how the real Yuichi will react. The reason why he was hiding all this was something different. And the consequences of this choice were scaring Koyama.
They quickly got Koayama's car and the NewS member drove to the closest hospital while Yuichi texted Ueda he was leaving with Kei. Knowing the boxer was already upset, he still wrote him. It would be really rude to leave without even advise. It was too much, just goodbye was too much for Yuichi to handle right now. Not talking about his ex-bestfriend always glued to his new lover. Letting his illness win right now seemed to be his only way out of his every day Hell.
