that is one hell of a poem you have there. not without it's flaws, but it's very reminiscent of 18th century authors (i get my centuries mixed up, you know the ones). it's simple, a narrative poem, and it tugs at your though processes. but most of all, it begs the question "why". it makes you want to know more.
and what i would like to know is how someone with a bleak and depressing outlook on life - that extends far beyond what i'm capable of - is so dependant on people? This isn't a criticism, just... a thought. that probably has no basis, but that's what thoughts are: somewhere to start.
i enjoyed the poem though. sounds like your writing is going better than mine.
