good read, thanks for the link. I agree with the notion that the politics in this country is polarized to the point that eveyone sees the problems and wants to fix them, but we'll bicker about the solutions all the way down the cliff.

At least the prospect of severe economic collapse seems interesting in the same way as being in a car accident is interesting. whee!

If Krugman is right about the 50% chance of an American financial collapse, we're probably going to take the rest of the world down with us.

That does not seem like it would be good.

If I recall, the last time all first-world countries simultaneously entered a depression, Hitler rose to power.
