Harry & the Pirate: 'Widow's Walk'

Jun 24, 2008 19:44

I've had this sitting on my hard drive for about two years, and was inspired to finish it up for ladymouse2 as a birthday gift -- she's been asking for more Jack & Harry for a long time. Many thanks to my wonderful beta reader, hereswith!

Harry lay, blinking at the shadowed ceiling of their bedroom. In the bed that was empty now, and ever would be, save for ghosts... )

I'll let you in on a secret, when I'm bored I re-read the series. It happens often.

Augh! You had me so worried! But it's all okay now :3

Also: ♥. It's great to see something from this 'verse. It's like a fannish security blanket.

I was worried with the title you'd killed him off! Glad I was wrong. Lovely to see Harry back! :)

I clearly have a lot to catch up, but that was lovely. Jack and horses - you're right, it would never work!

Jack's not so fond of horses, but he's better with them than Harry is with heights.

I wrote so much Harry & the Pirate in '04 and '05 that this was like visiting old friends. I'm glad this story worked for you, even without the 200,000 words that preceded it. Thank you so much for reading!
