50 Sentences...

Mar 25, 2007 17:25

I've been writing Harry & Jack for the 1sentence community. Can't post them there until all 50 are done, but I finished 25 so I thought I'd at least post those here. This is such a different universe to write in than canon PotC, and easier in some ways -- much less angst involved, certainly.

Many thanks to hereswith for beta reading, edits, and suggestions.

Thanks so much! I'm thrilled so many people still seem to like Harry & the Pirate. I think we're all a little angst-weary, although that should ease up after AWE makes its debut (I HOPE). Of course it depends on the end, but I can't see them ending the trilogy on a down note, not with the money that's riding on the franchise.

Of course, there's always A/U, like this. I want humor, dammit!!!

These are lovely. I find I rather miss these two and their joyful little world...such a different way for Jack than what we saw in DMC.

Yes, but hopefully Jack will be back in good form in AWE -- sure looks like it in the trailer.

I'm so happy you enjoyed these! Thank you for letting me know you still enjoy Harry & the Pirate. It's such fun to write, and I'm thrilled it still has an audience.

Well, I think you know MY views on whether you should post more Harry/Jack stories -- a resounding YES,PLEASE! Just please keep it to a T rating -- I like innuendo, not explicitness. These sentences are perfect. You have such a great variety of genres represented here, humor, romance, poetry. My favorites are 8, 9, 13, 18, 21, 23, & 25.

On another subject, how would I go about posting my fics in a community such as Blackpearlsails? Is there some etiquette or protocol? Do please let me know. Oh, and I went over to jenthegypsy's journal, like you suggested, and wow, what fun for a Lost fanatic! :)

I am so happy you (and others!) still enjoy this universe. Thank you for the feedback -- it's very very much appreciated.

To post to blackpearlsails or pirategasm you just post a link to where your fic is in your journal -- that way you get comments in one place rather than all over. The format is easy --

*hugs you*

I'm so happy to hear it!! I think we're all kind of tired of canon angst. Maybe we'll be happier by the end of May, eh?

Well, some people will be. I may not be one of them.

I know. Sometimes I think you're right about ignoring the sequels. The whole tone of the story is different and I'm not sure they can or want to fix that. It'll be interesting to see how it all comes out, though -- the trailer sure looks purdy. ;)

I always abandon everything I'm doing when I see you've posted, and I'm never disappointed. I think I said that before, but I mean it.

And your offerings are always chocolate---double truffle Godiva, at that!

I'm one of the adoring fans, dying for more of the domestic bliss of Jack and Harry. You've captured him so well, in all the little trials and tribulations, shock and awes of life with that special someone. I'm envious of your flairs and talents.

I can't choose the best--but, of course, the bedding is always the best, is it not? I'm blown away with the volumes behind a few, well selected words.

I'll be hanging on, with baited breath--well, no, actually a glass of milk to help wash down the rich, gooey, absurdly decadent next serving of chocolate.

That's one of the loveliest compliments I've ever received. Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoy my stories, and I truly appreciate all the feedback you give me.

Yay for Harry & Jack -- that's how I stay out of therapy, writing them. Must have humor!!
