I applaud Yen Press.

I recieved the last omnibus volume of Yen Press's release for "Alice in the Country of Hearts" today(still waiting on the other two that decided to come late). After reading it, I'm very happy that I decided to buy it. Peter doesn't rhyme in their version, the Twins call Alice 'Sis' or 'Big Sis', and the translation in much closer to the original. That is excellent stuff to hear.

After Seven Seas kept in the rhyming I'd sorta figured we were stuck with it.

Yeah, same here. I thought every Alice manga that came out over here would have Peter rhyming from now on. It's good to know I was mistaken.

Lol, this probably sounds stupid, but I was actually afraid to open the omnibus volume for fear of Peter's rhyming. That was actually the first thing I checked before I even read through the whole story. My brain just said, "Where's Peter?! What is the dialogue like?!". I guess it was that important to me.

I actually stopped buying the Tokyopop translation after the first volume because I disliked their translation that much. I will definitely check out the Yen Press version to see how it is. Thanks for the heads up!
