I freakin' love post apocalyptic fiction and/or dystopias.

Try "Alas, Babylon" for a good post-nuke read. :D

> A man engaged in a "standoff" with police while "brandishing" a pellet gun and was shot in the back. He died. (april 26)

Apparently he bought that thing at my work.

It did not look like a pellet gun at all.

The boss says he came in to buy a real gun but had to go through the background check and all that.

I was wondering what happened with that downtown accident. I saw the overturned truck about half a block down from where my car was parked and someone lying on the sidewalk with a few people trying to help him or her. Most of the 50 other people were just standing around, being in the way.

Gold might have been a good play a few years ago, but its so high now, it's very risky. Radio commercials have been touting gold all my life. The reason? Majority of retired males listen to the radio during the day and they're the most likely demographic to buy it. I think both real estate and some financial stocks are hitting bottom this year if they haven't already.

Sorry Bellingham has been so crappy lately. At least your city isn't suffering from ethnic cleansing! (Article is about a year old. It's only gotten worse.)

I'm a little preoccupied with the End Of The World too. At least I know I probably won't have to pay back my student loans.

Alas, Babylon and On the Beach.

Wow, I am really surprised. I think I may have been in a bubble down here thinking this was the only place where it was getting worse, however...

The whole world is going to shit!
