Buffy smiled lazily as she breathed in his scent and felt his cold hands touch her scorching arms. She opened her eyes, smiling sadly up at his smirk.
“I miss you,” She whispered lifting her hand to touch his face.
“Missed you too, luv,” Spike whispered with a smirk before he captured her lips with his own.
“BUFFY!!!!”
Buffy let out a gasp and jerked up in bed. She looked towards the door and found Dawn standing there in the doorway looking quite annoyed.
“Where did you put that purple skirt?” Dawn questioned, “I need it to match my shirt for my date.”
Buffy looked at her sister like she was crazy before slowly realizing that she had been dreaming. He had just been a dream. Buffy squeezed her eyes shut, her heart aching, before slowly opening them.
“In the basket of clothes I washed yesterday,” Buffy replied blankly. Dawn studied her for a few moments.
“Are you alright?” Dawn questioned, concern laced in her voice. Buffy shook her head.
“I’m fine, have fun tonight.” Buffy stated before falling back in bed, cuddling her other pillow. Dawn frown, knowing her sister wasn’t alright but she knew that she couldn’t do anything to help her so she left her sister to get ready for her date closing the door behind her.
Buffy let out a large sniff, trying to control the tears she knew was just moments from falling. She missed him… despite everything he did to her, she missed him and she wanted him back. She loved him.
But the one thing that made his death all the worse was the fact that he hadn’t believed her when she told him that she loved him.
He would never know she really did love him.
And it was all her fault.
Unable to control her tears from falling any longer, Buffy burst into tears and muffled them by turning her face against the pillow.
THE END.
