“Clark?” Chloe asked questionably, as she stared at the gift in her hands. Clark had gotten her Tales of the Weird & Unexplained by Aleya Naiman for her birthday. Her eyes welled up as she the memory of them together back in his fortress back when they first met. When she had seen that he had the book, she kissed him and then played it off. That was the moment she became friends. The moment she stopped hating Smallville. That was when she fell in love with him.
“Do you like it?” Clark asked, smiling encouraging.
“Of course I do!”
