“How’s Molly doing?” Matt Parkman asked. Hermione glanced up at him and smiled.
“A lot better… its working.” Hermione stated, silently thanking the gods the potion was finally working. The dreamless potion hadn’t worked for Molly the past few days, but Hermione was able to make it stronger earlier, and now Molly was sleeping peacefully.
“Good, you better get bed too, Hermione,” Matt stated in a whisper so that he wouldn’t wake Molly. Hermione nodded and stood up as Matt leaned over Molly and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Hermione grinned as she watched the two. Once Matt left Molly’s side, she too leaned over and gave Molly a goodnight kiss. Shutting of the lights, Hermione left the door open before leaving the room.
She went over to small kitchen to grab a glass of milk before she retired for the evening. Matt joined her a few minutes later. “Do you want one too?” Hermione asked softly, lifting her glass.
“Nah, I’m fine, thanks.” Matt said, sitting down at the table. “I, uh, just wanted to thank you again for what your doing for us.” Hermione smiled softly as she joined him at the table.
“It’s the least I can do, Matt. Molly’s a sweet girl, she shouldn’t be experiencing those nightmares. No kid should,” Hermione added as her mind went back to when she used to have those kind of nightmares.
“I still can hardly believe witches and wizards are real.” Matt said, causing Hermione to smile.
“And people with different abilities are a lot more believable?” Hermione asked, letting out a small laugh.
“Alright so it’s not that different, but I can still barely believe that I have special abilities.”
“I know what you mean… I still feel like I’m imagining everything sometimes.”
“Same here… I hope Molly’s nightmares will go away soon.”
“I hope so too, and while its not dangerous to keep taking dreamless potions, I really think it would be better for her not to have to rely on it.”
“I agree… I don’t want her to rely on it either.” Matt stated… he stood up. “Well we all better get to sleep… its really late.”
“I’ll be in the room once I finish my milk,” Hermione stated with a smile lighting up her face. “Goodnight Matt.”
“’Night, Hermione.”
