“Yeah? Reid speaking?” Spencer Reid asked in his sleep as he answered the phone. He yawned.
“Reid, its Hotchner, we need you here.” With that Reid was fully awake, already removing the blanket from atop of him and sliding quietly out of the bed.
“I’ll be there as soon as I can.” Reid answered before slipping the phone back on its cord quietly trying to not wake his wife up.
He moved to his closet and quickly got dressed. Before leaving the bedroom, he went towards his sleeping wife. Brushing away the hair covering her face, Reid leaned in and kissed her lips and then her forehead. Getting up, he almost went to leave the room but a voice stopped him in his tracks.
“I thought I told you to wake me up when you get called in.” Her voice was hurt, tired, and sad.
Spencer frowned, and walked back towards her. He sat down beside her; she leaned against him for comfort. “I’m sorry, but it’s been a long day already, I thought it would be good if you could sleep uninterrupted.
“I know you do, but I can handle it. If you have to wake up, then I want to be awakened.” Hermione stated, pulling his hair out of his face.
Spencer smiled softly staring in her soft chestnut brown eyes, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” Hermione stated with a large smile before she captured him in a case. After they pulled away, a minute later, they let out a small laugh before Hermione sobered up. “You better go, please be careful.”
“I will.” Reid said kissing Hermione on the lips again before leaving the room.
She stared at the doorway, trying to take control of her fear that might have been the last time she would see or speak to him. It was the reason why she wanted him to wake her up if he had to leave during the night. She wanted to make sure he was safe and knew that she loved him.
