Watching him speak, she knew he was lying. That he was lying to her.
He did have feelings for her but he wouldn’t admit them to her. Why?
It doesn’t make sense… if you loved someone, had feelings for them, you should be able to tell them. Especially if it would stop her from making a mistake. A mistake she knew she was making. She hated to feel like this, torn between two men, but couldn’t help it - she fell in love with Baze a long time ago, and yes it’s been years and her feelings have come back after so long thanks to Lux becoming part of her life… And she loved Ryan because he was there for her and was different than Baze was. He was reliable and a nice guy - she loved him for that. She loved him for loving her. She just couldn’t stop her heart from beating more for Baze.
And right now, her heart felt like it was breaking.
So she did the only thing she could do since he wouldn’t admit how he felt about her to her face.
She ran…
And now she was getting married to another guy.
Maybe Ryan was the guy for her.
Maybe Baze was the guy for her.
Maybe no one is the one for her.
Either way, Ryan was willing to marry her and she did love him. Despite her feelings for Baze, and her heart loving both men - she needed to move on.
Baze wasn’t going to admit to her that he loved her.
So she ran to Ryan… who she will marry… and love.
Even if her heart breaks as she does so.
Even if eventually Ryan will find out the truth.
Even if everything ends miserably.
