Part 1
“You’re pregnant??! Why haven’t you told me sooner?!?”
“Because I knew you would freak out?” Chloe stated, rolling her eyes at her cousin.
“Well, duh! Anyone would freak out, cuz, especially since you’re my baby cuz.”
Chloe bit her lip at the remark; she hated being called a baby. And lately, thanks to the extra hormones, it was getting harder to not snap at Lois.
“Besides, are you sure about this? In you’re condition,” Lois started, glancing around the Talon to see if anyone was listening, “what if they don’t come out normal?”
Chloe glared at her. “I’m sure Lois.”
Part 2
“Have you told Oz?” Lois questioned as they left the Talon.
“Yes, Lois. I told Oz.”
“Well? Has he heard anything about this happening before?”
“Yes, and in his travels to Tibet, he had seen plenty of normal healthy children born of werewolves, Lois. Our baby will be fine.”
“Alright, that’s good, but what about a doctor? How will you explain you’re blood work and such when you go to them?”
“Oz has a friend that can help us out with that, I’ll be fine, Lois. You don’t have to worry.”
“I’m you’re cousin, of course I’m going to worry.”
Part 3
“Alright, I know I’m getting on you’re nerves with all these questions… don’t think you’re hiding those glares from me, missy. But come on, you know I want the best for you… and I’m just worried… god I sound like a mother don’t I?”
Chloe chuckled for the first time since she met up with Lois for lunch today. “Yeah, Lois you do. I know you care and worry about me, but I’m responsible and I wouldn’t bring a child in this world without being prepared.”
Lois stared at her.
“Its not my fault birth control doesn’t work on werewolves.”
Part 4
“Are you sure you’re not going to get puppies instead of babies?” Lois asked later that night. Chloe glanced up from the Isis papers she had been reading and stared at her in shock.
“What kind of question is that?”
“Well, you two are werewolves, isn’t there a possibility that you’ll have puppies?”
Chloe shook her head, “I don’t think it works like that, Lois. We’re still human most of the time… I’m pretty sure our baby will be human.”
“You never thought to ask?” Lois’s eyebrows raised in shock.
“I don’t know, I just never thought about that possibility.”
Part 5
“Am I going to have puppies?” Chloe asked softly to Oz. He glanced down at her in shock.
“Huh?”
“Well… Lois got me thinking today, and I wasn’t exactly sure of the answer. I mean you never really said anything about it, so I just assumed they were born human, but well… Were they?”
Oz chuckled at Chloe’s nervous explanation. “They’re born as babies, Chlo, don’t worry about that.”
“Yeah, but are they human or werewolf?” Chloe questioned, nuzzling her face against his neck.
“They’re human for the most part… at puberty they become werewolves but they have more control.”
Part 6
Wrapped in his arms, her worries about the baby growing inside of her seemed to disappear. Even if there had been a possibility of giving a birth do a pup, she wouldn’t care… because it would be something that was a part of him and a part of her. She wouldn’t be able to feel disgusted if it wasn’t a human baby.
She felt excited and so complete that she was finally going to have a family. It didn’t matter that it wasn’t a normal family. Because for her? This was normal. She was used to weird and the strange.
