Oh, this is lovely. I don't know diddly-squat about baseball, but I can understand devotion to your favorite team.

Also, Tony couldn't be more out there with his mad love even if he tried. How many guys just buy a whole team and pays to have a new baseball field made just because their best friend is a Dodgers fan? Oh Tony. You crazy in love.

I know very little about baseball myself -- but growing up in the New York area, information about the history and rivalries with these particular teams just came to me by osmosis. Wikipedia also helped!

YES. This was adorable.

(And then they go, and Steve is in a suit and a hat, and Tony is like "...Nine whole innings? Really?" and takes a nap, and Steve has a heart attack over the price of Cracker Jacks, and then Tony wakes up and buys some cheerleaders, because, really, nine whole innings. Best game ever!)

I think Tony has a little more patience than you assume, because I think he DOES genuinely like baseball (and the Yankees in particular). But I wouldn't put it past him to buy the cheerleaders. And then Steve can't figure out why he's jealous...
