Awww, thank you so much! I've always loved your Hank, in his many flavours and 'verses, and this was perfectly done. I really appreciate it when stories wrestle with issues rather than providing simple answers. The idea of, if Logan can knuckle down and teach teenagers, Hank can do the same and hold a political post, had me laughing. Great work.

Oh, I'm glad you liked it! I was worried--I wanted to make something more... story-like, and using more characters, but this is what came out. And, haha, yeah, that's totally the thought process at the end there. (Oddly, when watching X-3 to write this fic, I was struck by how oddly Hank/Logan shippy it was. Bizarre.)

I'm so happy you were pleased!

Awww, thank you! I was wondering if that last bit was just too gratuitous and manipulative, but people seem to like it! :)

This is perfect. I just love the way you've thought through the politics of the situation, cutting through the (often nonsensical and incongruous) situation in the movies and making it work. Very smart, very well-done, very in-character. And the summary style *works* for this story; I think it's a very hard thing to pull off, but you make it look effortless (even though I know how much work you put into it, it doesn't FEEL labored-over, if that makes sense).

Aww, thank you! That means a lot--this type of style is what all my writing used to look like, especially before I started RPing, and it feels almost lazy to me sometimes. But I do try my best, and it was actually kind of fun to try to work out how politics was really functioning in those (not terribly thought-out) films.

I also liked that Logan and Hank's conversation here basically reflects the positions they took in "Gifted" (though the situations, as well as their personalities, are somewhat different).

And now I want to read ship-fic about them. Damn you!

I want the ship-fic, too!

Especially at the end of the movie, because Logan has no one, except Ororo and she presents an untouchable aura. That loneliness combined with the snark and growing respect which is one of the most consistent emotional throughlines of the movie... It's totally waiting to be written.

(My brain can't do it in comicsverse, though. I think my brain breaks down somewhere around Scott's reaction.)

There is not enough Hank fic out there, let alone good fic like this. I enjoyed it. Thank you!
