Great list as usual. :P

I really need to go back and read/finish Treasure since it's...finished. I stopped at a part that was really angsty, and since it wasn't finished, I figured I would just wait....happy ending and such. And then I never did. That's my ramble.

Oh, but also there's that one part where Snape is driving with Hermione. I fell in love with that portion of writing. It was so wonderfully unique but still right. I love words and I found that to be a perfectly worded moment.

Happy Friday!

Treasure had a lot of bits I loved to death, I think my favorite occurs much later--surrounding a gift Snape gives Hermione. I love original bits of magic in HP and that made me wiggle with joy.

I could never get into 'Where Your Treasure Is.' Wait. Let me rephrase that, I was very fascinated by the beginning of it but a certain revelation in the middle utterly changed everything (including characterizations which I had quite liked, up until that point in time) and left me feeling so 'meh' that I stopped reading. I think my biggest issue is not how Hermione acts after that revelation but that I cannot agree that PAST Hermione would not have done something. Plus, I hated how Ron was portrayed during that time (which may have been the bigger issue, since I've been generally disgruntled with how Ron has been portrayed in almost every post-DH fic I've read).

Well written. Just not my cup of tea.

On the other hand, I love 'The Apprentice and the Necromancer'. Not only is Ron characterized in a way I like, I'm a big fan of the Abhorson books and found the inclusion of that into the story fascinating (if you've not read those books, you should).

And I think I'm done rambling now.

I think I know the part you mean, more than one person had issues with that. I can see people's points, but I did rather like how it might explain a "break" I see in Hermione's character between HBP and the other books (Frankly, her cheating in the tryouts disturbed me more than Snape AKing Dumbledore).

I haven't read the Abhorson books, but I do understand JunoMagic's story is popular.

Wow! This is a truly great list. I have only read half of the stories on here and I am always on the outlook for new stories to read. I just found your WIKTT: Their Recs of Best HG/SS list and I was so excited!!

Just wanted to share a little positive feedback! :D

Aww, thanks, hope you'll enjoy these.

Only what I have starred is something I'd recommend reading though, this isn't like that other post, but a comprehensive listing of every SSHG posted in the first year post-DH of over 100,000 words.

Your guides are seriously awesome. I'm relatively new to reading SS/HG, and I find myself constantly going back to them to find stuff to read, so I guess I just wanted to say thanks for putting so much effort into making these.
